Does anyone know, when one has struggled to complete a prize crossword and has had to alter letters (albeit clearly!) before sending it in, whether the judges accept alterations? If not, I shall save my stamps!

I quite often make corrections with white-out and still send the crosswords in. Some time ago, I checked with the Times and was told that, as long as the answers are legible, the entry will be accepted. Good luck!

This has been asked on here before, and quite a lot of people said that they had entered and won altered crosswords, so you can enter. I recently bought some pens that have rubbers on the end, so I can enter if I only get round to completing them!
I always photocopy the xword and use that as the working model then transfer the answers to the original. Nice and tidy
