5d Passing judgement, briefly (4) O?I?

I have two other answers, 21d 7 22d, as ACCESS & VENEER but can't see how I have matched these answers with the clues. I don't like to enter them unless I can see how they are worked out. Is there anyone who can explain please?

It is impossible to explain answers if you don't state the clues.
5d Obit ..shortened form of obituary
Veneer Ne ( north east ) + veer ( swing around ) =facing
Not sure about the other one although access seems to fit
seen 5d answered as OBIT
I think 5d is OBIT. I have also got ACCESS & VENEER. Veneer is made up by veer ie swing round NE north east and a veneer is a facing. Not sure why access is right though

Sorry, gen2, the clues are:-

21d It's a fit - OK to go in? (6)

22d Facing north-east, swing around (6)

And thanks to Pentalpha8.
What's the clue then?

Thanks to you all.
DSJ, my previous post was aimed at maxymax - yout reply hadn't appeared when I posted mine. I'm working on it now.
According to Chambers, an old meaning of 'access' is 'a sudden and usually brief period of strong emotion'.
I suppose that could be described as a 'fit'
'Access' also means 'go in'

Sorry, that's the best I can do on this one.
