Hi All

This month's puzzle has some clues I don't understand.

Typical example is - 'A 3W with Merseyside connections?' (7,6)
and there are others which begin 'A 3W with....'

Can anyone suggest what sort of solution is being sought here?

Any chance of a couple more A 3W clues as possibly with a wider range of options someone may be able to make an inspired guess as to what it means.
The only thing I can think of for the clue you've given is Runcorn Bridge which fits with Merseyside connections but I haven't a clue about A 3W.

The 3 solutions are the names of famous cricketers
Glad to know that but please tell me what 3W means. it will prey on my mind otherwise!
The three answers were famous West Indies cricketers in the late 1940's -1950's whose surnames all began with W and hence were known as three Ws
