This is the last of the most difficult crossword I've ever done!

For example tent enclosure keeps 500 secure (7, two words)
five of the letters are: diewe but not in that order!

Still not sure where the REE comes from (help Bellabee!) nor where the hint
to the answer lies in the question - am I being overly thick this morning?

captain2 - ree is a scottish word for enclosure and the definition part is tent - 'deep red spanish wine' [chambers dictionary is the ref]

captain2 - must say i've never tracked it down in tesco's but i wouldn't argue with the big red book.- my guess is that the puzzle comes from 'the magpie' magazine. it's a monthly i think and has several crosswords similar in difficulty to the listener [some are mathematical too]. you can find a trial puzzle on-line.but too much of my time is wasted on crosswords as it is so i've avoided this temptation. maybe ripper will confirm or refute this.....in time.
