Hi guille. Usually if no-one replies it's because they don't know the answers. No-one ever leaves a 'sorry, I don't know' on here. It's nothing personal, it's just how this place works. I'll have a think about your clues :)

Hi arti. it is just because i have got all of them apart from those few and thought someone somewhere could help. thank you for your reply anyway and hope you can or anyone else can help since i gave a clue to one of the answers. sorry to be a moan.
Could 11 be as simple as Lisburn?
Question Author
thank you Welshyorkie i think you could be right !
Could 15 be as simple as Elgin?
Question Author
thank you Harry-Wragg. i am sure you could be right.
2. I answered on your previous post Norwich, and I think someone else has suggested Aberavon for No. 24.
If the example given (Carlisle) is anything to go by, I am not surprised you have received very few replies: it is a pretty poorly constructed clue, by any standards.

Harry, I cannot see how you get the "El" part of "Elgin".
As for Lisburn.... ??
nightmare - nor can I
8 could be .... bedford
guilliebrougues - give some more examples of the clues you have already solved
Hi could 2 be Norwich??
If I can answer a question, I will.
But sorry, if I can't (or don't) answer a question I haven't got the time or the inclination to type "sorry I don't know" on each thread.
Looking at previous OP comments I would say "Patience is a virtue".
Strange construction but based on your example
could 8 be Cardiff? - car - Diff(erent)
could 15 be Ascot? - Ask Hot(el)

I would like to thank you all for your replies and an explanation of why you don't reply. i must tell you that i am new to answerbank and am still learning. although i have answered many of others questions as well as it is only fair to do so when you know the answers anyway.
Harry-Wragg you asked me for some other examples of the clues i have already solved.
1. She tore her gown on broken glass. (7) Glasgow
3 The ants were in the dish and on the rim (6) Antrim
4. On the cooks day off they visited the town (9) Cookstown.
5. The swan lived on the riverbank far from the sea (7) Swansea
12. Peter suffered head injuries (9) Peterhead
7. Lonnie was a member of the Donegan family (6) London

Hopes this helps.

3, The ants were in the dish and on the rim (6) Antrim
4. On the cooks day off they visited the town (9) Cookstown
5 The swan lived on the riverbank far from the sea (7) Swansea
9. There mother was keeping very well (10 ) Motherwell
It appears that the "answer" is made up from words or parts thereof in the clue, seemingly at random.
Norwich is especially contrived, since the "h" needs to be omitted from "which"

yes nightmare that seems to be the case. not a very imaginative quiz is it.

however, since i have already bought and started it i would like to get rid of it, in double quick time . I have only a few more to get in fact only four more thanks for all your help gang. in saying that if anyone can come up with better answers that 's ok.

i'll give you the clues to the other four then perhaps we are all rid of this quiz.

14. They were in a rush to reach the port (8)
20. They balanced the books later (8)
25. They rose early and ate a hearty breakfast (10)

the answer to number 21 is probably based on the answer to number 10.
The clue was to number 10. The Anglers guarded their fish (9) I have got Fishguard
21. says, By solving the clues ten had it right (5)
any ideas.
14 Portrush
21 Tenby
20 Ballater
