10ac "Tendency to cover same ground in rock formation" (8) Have seen this answered as basement but not too sure. Also 8ac looks like "parish" but why is standard paris? Anyone any ideas?

10a Basement - 'bent' (tendency) (covering) anag 'same'

8a Par is h(ard)
par = standard + is = paris

Thanks guys. Happy now with Parish.although I would not really describe basement as formation or rock formation! Maybe I am being too pedantic!
