The Club is now Open

Welcome once more to our evening of tailcocks, nibbles and conviviality.

The weather is closing in but the fires have been banked up and all is cosy here in the clubhouse.

Unfortunately I have managed to contract yet another so-called 'virus' so will probably leave early to go to bed with Wodehouse and whisky...didn't work too well last time, but I'll give the old cove another chance.

Raffle prizes so far are:

A snow shovel (handle broken)

Earmuffs (fluffy mauve)

Hand knitted socks...one blue, one green

F.C. Barcelona. Watch them every week, they've been a bit "off" though lately which is why I was sat here a frettin' tonight
It will be the foreign food if they are off
A dodgy paella has brought many a good man to his knees Mama
My team won! Just as well, I never win the raffle.
Did not realise the llama danced nun. Would have to be the lambada. Obviously not very good. Keep practising. My broomstick wants to try the Rumba. Witch's odd conveyance almost bleating has a dance.
Too many Twinkles can do that
Only when he's had a few Daisy, you should see him Paso doble...........all feet moving in graceful synchronicity a joy to behold!
I shall begin sweeping up all the discarded rofl tickets, Matron - in the meantime I have brought a bucket of Twinkle, should anyone wish to dip their flagon...
I feel I have earned another due to my roofing acrobatics earlier.
Just want to see Robbie Savage dance again! Susceptible to dodgy blond male footballers.
I hope you were wearing your harness for that jaunt onto the roof. I shall be delighted to partake of your goodly brew Majestic one, me and the llama can help each other home..........
What is about long haired footballers Daisy? I have a soft spot for a long curly haired Catalan, centre half called Carles though I don't know if he can dance. I reckon your Robbie will be back for one more dance in the final next week though
Have absolutely no idea. When I was 12 I adored the Aston Villa captain, Johnny Dixon. He brought his cup winner's medal to show me.
Most footballers are very adept at falling over it seems to me, not staying on their feet and whisking you lightly across the floor
My dad got me into watching football very young so I always followed his team (Hearts) until they were taken over by some daft Lithuanian, anyway, I was disgusted when we were unbeaten in the league, and also top when he sacked the manager I refused to watch them any more, and scrolling through the tv channels one Saturday I spotted a team playing in bright PINK!!! and the other team was Barca and the way they moved that ball across the pitch was like poetry in motion and I was hooked and have been ever since.
I really ought to collect my llama and head out for home, daughter will be home within the hour and we plan to watch the recorded match when she gets home - I'm not to tell her the result either. So until Saturday sennight I bid you all a hearty good night................The Twinkles were marvy Mama!
Night Nungate have a twinkly ride home and see you very soon xxx
Good night, Miss nungate - safe journey, be well & I hope you enjoy the game :-)
Notice to all members.please ask the Butler where your coats are hidden because soon be pulling up the drawbridge and doing the stock taking in the cellar.
Assorted coats - get 'em while they're out in the open, they're lovely!

Well, most of them are...
Well another great night , doors closing, travel safely and same time next week, goodnight
Now then, Matron - to the cellars?
