I hope that all members have recovered from the festive festivities and that the stocks of Alkaseltzer have been replenished.

No doubt an array of nibbles and tailcocks will arrive soon (festive leftovers, perhaps) along with an explanation for the spaces in the cellar...

Any unwanted Xmas presents will be welcome for tonight's raffle.

That made me feel quite nostalgic, nungate.
M,Lady due to my health not being what it was(whos is) I fel I should resign my position as head gardner and chief moat cleaner. I will, of course, increase my standing order to take this into account.

Actually Milady I have checked the agenda and the kitchen fitters are here doing a refurbishment beginning next week so would not be safe to have guests, a brief sojourn should see it done by the following week.

What I could do is before I read the little ones their bedtime story, could pop a 'closed for tonight' sign up.

Me too, LIK....And there is the competitive element too...drink takes the edge off and stops me strangling the other beetlers (or is that drivers ?) I may be 'asked to leave'.
