The Club is now Open.
Welcome once again to the Mad over Fifties Club for a night of unalloyed pleasure.
No doubt there will be at least one ode, lots of delicious comestibles and sufficient alcohol to float a battleship.
And that's before we get on to the excellent conversation , witty repartee and the holy grail of all club events, the drawing of the raffle.
Tonight's prizes so far include:
two rain mates (pink spotty ones)
a packet of Fishermen's Friends
a pair of flip flops, one orange, one green (totally non-sectarian )
and
a loofah

Watched a bit of the tour today - he's doing really well, nice to see a Briton in front for a change. Plan to watch the cycling, swimming and the long distance races. Haven't been to Bournemouth, though the area looks lovely. Only been as far west as Brighton when we holidayed down in Sussex, all of us would love to get down there again for a break.
Not a fan of the wind. Am further west than Brighton. West Sussex is beautiful. So much to see and appreciate. Planning a trip to Chichester to see the new museum. Love the Downs, Cissbury Ring, the flint mines, the views from Highdown and the gardens there. We do have a little sand when the tide is out. Not a bad place to live.
Just before the off, never been to West Sussex at all, I'll add it to "the list".
If you're looking for a nice sandy beach Daisy there are a few practically on my doorstep (and lots of golf courses). There's a private beach we frequented when we were children which ypu can still visit, nice clean sand wonderful views out to sea and the Bass Rock mind you the water wa always freezing! Good times.
