Recently it has come to our attention that some members are regularly asking for spare Mail Rewards Club numbers. While the terms and conditions from the Daily Mail say that purchase is required, we also don't like to see anything go to waste. So we're asking members of The AnswerBank:

also, if your number is genuinely missing, you can phone up and answer a brief question about the paper/magazine and they give you a number straight away!

I was just wondering if AB could find itself in a bit of deep water with the DM if they decided to go against the T&C's of this rewards club?

After, AB is so quick to remove posts it sees as breaking the T&C's on here, why would AB want to break another persons rules and regs?
Indeed, why should you even think about doing it?
After all*
You can only join the Rewards club if you own a computer.A friend of mine has been buying the Mail for several years but does not own a computer so she misses out
Would anyone like a number from Sunday?
perdell now that I think is a shame.
oj.....I think AB could find itself in hot water if the practice is allowed to continue. Purely my opinion of course, but it would be interesting to hear what further the Ed has to say on the issue concerned.

Ron.
^^^My number has gone now
Hi perdell- are you able to help her join?
Ron and ojread2 - magazines do get angry!

http://www.bananas.me.uk/
Technically by allowing this, AB is aiding and abetting in fraud. I can understand someone occassionally not geting a number but The Mail has a system in place for this. There are certain members whose only activity is online begging, other offers have also cropped up (MADONNA FAN) If it is allowed should it not be in shopping rather than Q&P.
perdell - even though your friend doesn't have a computer, can she use one? Most libraries have them and you have until midnight on Wednesday to submit your numbers. Just a thought.
No
Anyway, whilst I agree that those who don't have computers/internet access do miss out on things in life (e.g. on line banking, utility discounts) I don't see how perdell's point is relevant to this poll
That's really why I asked vivandron - I would be interested to hear the Ed's opinion on breaking someone else's T&C's when he and the moderators are so quick to remove posts here

I forsee trouble ahead although right now, the vote is no

Perdell, it's called tough luck I'm afraid
I sure the DM run competitions etc for those who buy the paper as well as those who subscribe on line
ah, sir.prize - kinda rests the case really

thankyou
I would have to agree with ojread2 - if AB wants others to adhere to the T&Cs of this website - then they should be helping to uphold those of other websites. If you buy the paper and the number is missing then you can get it online via the Daily Mail website link and by answering a question related to the magazine content (to prove your purchase) so those asking for a number for the most part haven't purchased or had any intention of purchasing and that is fraud and AB would be a willing party to that by allowing the "trade" in numbers on its site - in my opinion.
Ed.....Perhaps the votes of ABers Not participating in this poll can be passed forward for me to use.:-)

Ron.
I have voted but want to change my mind. Has anyone got a spare vote they don't need that they could let me use?
NO !!!
Has an editorial decision been reached?

Has the poll (which should never have been run) provided the answer?

Has an unsubstantiated claim by an AB member killed the question?
