My little doggie has just been banned from the groomers!!

**embarrased** feel like a bad mother with a bad behaved kid!!!!

he is the best natured wee doggie ever but hates the groomers!

Politely asked not to bring him back!

He tries to bite the comb...

We have upped the grooming at home- will have to brush him more often ...been getting him up on the table and combing him...

Its so hard to find a good groomer! Wish i could do it myself!

Mabye we need some obedience classes??

Eeek!!!

Tinks hi, our little dachs used to hate the grooming parlour, only time he ever tried to bite anyone, probs didn't like looking all poncy when he came out of there xx
Daughter's latest rescue dog has been barred as well so now she does them herself
My Westie was banned a couple of years ago..........she didn't like him crapping in the bath.
Tinks look in your Yellow Pages and see if there is a mobile groomer in your area.

Lol redman. X
Do you stay at the groomers with him Tinkerball ? If so he may be playing to the crowd :)
I used to take Shaney every two months and he was a sod to get in there .
Then when I went to get him they said he was such a lovely well behaved boy
Yeah right ...he practically used to grin at me as if to say I've been a complete B. really .!
Then he would go out in the garden and roll about as if to say.. poke your grooming ..lol
I used a mobile groomer in the end as he got older who used to come to the house and he was as good as gold because he knew if I gave him the evil eye he had to behave !
I could never get him in the bath without him coating the walls but she could .

If other dogs have been there i think he pees alot too :0/

sometimes I take Edward for a trim when his real owners have something on...he loves it and is very good....you can't believe the antics some of the little sweeties get up to....the groomers arn't too pleased with..pee, poo and especially getting their dangly bits nipped...don't blame them either!
Question Author
No we leave him!!

Today he peed on the girl too- but hes such a nosey dog! If he smells other dogs he goes wild sniffing and pees! He honestly pees 7/8 times in the first 5mins of every walk! Every single lampost he tries to squeeze one out!!!!

Even when we comb him he tries to bite the brush but we just manage!!! Groomer thinks otherwise!!

He dosent pee in the home! He is brilliant totally great natured great with kids and visitors!! Last groomer we had took hom
To hers and brought him back and he peed in her van and she wasnt too happy!!!! He dosent have bladder problems! Just smells other dogs!!

He is spoiled tbh. Too spoiled. Xx
The dog groomer who banned mine was only a couple of streets away which was handy, but I just found another in YP who is a few miles away but he picks him up and brings him back for an extra £3. When he comes to pick him up the dog tries to hide behind me :-(
Has he been done? If not then that might make him a little better behaved. You need to groom him every day at home, just for 5 mins or so and be firm with him if he tries to bite the brush or comb he needs to know that's not on. Make sure you reward him well when he's stood still and been good and he will soon learn it's worth behaving. Saying that I don't know what my 2 would be like at a groomers as I've always done them myself. Try searching Youtube for Westie clipping there should be a few vids on there to give you some pointers. It's not too difficult as long as you have good quality clippers and a good pair of scissors, and he can always go out for his walks after dark or wear a coat if you make a real hash of it the first couple of times ;o)
I took my lady cat to the vet and after getting examined she got fed up and when the vet tried to clip her claws she went totally berserk. The vet tried to muzzle her but we couldn't get near her. She was ready to kill anyone in her path. Cats get off with this type of behaviour.

The poor mutts have to behave themselves. Maybe you could find a clip on YouTube telling you how to groom him. Is he de-nutted?
Question Author
He actually still has his danglers.... I never thought about having em off because he is fine otherwise!!

Could probs do him myself tbh xx
what - chop his nuts off?

The peeing problem might get better if you have him done.
We used to use a mobile dog groomer for our Alfie, but he was a little bugger and used to go for her, so we tried giving him some Bachs Rescue Remedy about an hour or so before she arrived and the difference was really noticeable. Unfortunately she gave up to have a baby and in the meantime, my DD trained as a groomer and she has her own mobile business now so she does him, he's still as nippy as ever, but she doesn't stand any nonsense, he needs to be muzzled to do his feet, but will just about tolerate everything else.
I can just imagine you practising your surgical skills with a castration.

If he has a visit to the groomer where he behaves and is rewarded for being good then he is going to know that being good is the way forward.

My lady (Merlin) cat is long haired - I have to groom her, hold her still and watch to see if she is going to lunge at me. It is a stressful exercise.

We do reward him, when theres folk around to be sniffed though he just isnt interested,in treats or biscuts etc!!

We had to finish his haircut there...was quite funny actually x
