Mm And Km Links Dec 2012 Week [3]
7 Answers
The shrubbery is now open for the last time before Christmas but be sure to find your way out by 9am tomorrow because nobody will be around after that until Friday 4th Jan and Christmas alone in here will be very miserable.
Talking of getting shut in, one of our players did so last weekend and was therefore unable to play either game, and when she hadn't surfaced by close of play on Sunday, I suggested forming a search-party tonight to see if we could locate her. I can now see 'Sir Robin of Linksley' (aka Aquagility) approaching leading a band of Merry Men, all with pointy sticks offering to help (find) poor lost souls. Oh Sorry! Those aren't pointy sticks, they are 'arrows'.
So what will be Paulineward's fate? Will she be found? Dead? or alive? Will 'Sir Robin of Linksley' find his way back to launch the game tomorrow?
I refer of course to the MM Links Game where the links are being set for the last time by 'Sir Robin of Linksley' (aka Aquagility).
Watch out in Q & P tomorrow morning for the introduction at 8:45 and then the challenge at 9:00. Early play is advised in this version because bonus points are time sensitive. This game will end 7pm Sunday.
Our sister game, the KM Links, which is managed be Seekeerz, kicks off somewhat earlier. That version is based on the GK crosswords in The Daily Telegraph. No rush to play though in this version - any time before midnight Sunday and the available points remain the same.
Just to remind you all:
Both versions of the game are taking a two-week break after this weekend until Saturday January 5th 2013
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone.
I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow morning in Q & P.
Until then,
Happy Linking

Who would have thought that a contest proposed by shamrockblue back in September 2006 would still be going strong some 6 years after.
Although I did not join until January 2008 I have done some research on the history of the Links games and it is surprising that so many of those originals are still fairly regular contestants today - thanks to Crofter, Gen2 and Seekeerz and of course all AB competitors.
Good luck everybody

You're right x-ray. It's amazing really. Gen2 and seekeerz are brilliant keeping it going for us all.
More people used to pop in for a chat on a Friday night, but I suppose they all get busy, especially this time of year.
The most important thing is that we all meet up once a week for the Links. Still going strong as well.
