No. My postman changes by the day, and since we had recycling introduced, there are abour a dozen binmen. We don't have any other regular tradespeople delivering.
only the paperboy, no milkman ( supermarket) no coalman (central heating)

i was surprised to hear that my neighbour tips the postman, didnt think people did that anymore
Tipped the Binmen a fiver each, it's amazing how helpful they can be after that ;o)
I used to tip my windowcleaner but I don't have one any more.
Tipped the postman and the window cleaner.
No, no coalman or milkman. Bin men always different every week, temporary postman.

I never got a 'tip' for working. Only 'tip' for something extra, not for normal service.
^^^^
Ooops, told a lie! Tipped the paperboy and gave him a card.
Postgirl...window cleaner and binmen. Always get a lift with anything heavy from the latter two through the year.
The dustmen, the window cleaner and the paper boy. Same every year
No, we don't have coal, newspaper or milk delivered and our postie changes regularly.
paper arrives come wind or rain, lad deserves a couple of bob extra. I remember the snow of 1963 delivering papers.
I have given the dustmen (er, refuse disposal operatives, perhaps?) a Christmas box in the past, but not recently.

I've never even considered giving the postlady a Christmas box (and I've never heard of anyone doing so).

I don't have newspapers or magazines delivered but, if I did, I would probably give the delivery person a Christmas box if they were still at school. (A lot of newspapers seem to be delivered by adults these days who, presumably, are getting at least the National Minimum Wage - whereas youngsters who deliver them get far less).

No chimney - hence no coalman.

My windows stay uncleaned (or possibly get a once a year wipe over from me if they're within reach).

However I did give a tin of Rose's to the staff at the launderette which I use.
I tip everyone I possibly can, as Baldric says it's astounding how helpful people are if you've done that- plus it's nice, it's tradition I actually like.
No, never have. No one tips me for earning a living lol.
Seriously though, dustmen used to really earn their living having to lift heavy steel bins full of peoples dirt and grime, its much easier these days and in these times of recycling we do most of the work for them. They only seem to push the wheelie bins up to the trucks 'lift' and press a button - in the words of Gordon Ramsey 'DONE' :) - I do remember my parents tipping the coal man, milk man, paper lad.
Yes I did but to people who have been there most of the year I gave to ....window cleaner, postie, dustman [they give me a peck on the cheek or they dont get],and the milkman. why not ? tin of Quality Street to GP's surgery and the pharmacy as hubby is quite ill and we see both quite a lot.
When my husband was alive we tipped everyone who called, the postman, the binmen and the paperboy, or girl as the case may have been. We took a load of tins of biscuits to the surgery and gave one tin to each of the receptionists and the nurses, also a large tin of chocolates to the pharmacy. Now that I have moved there is no-one to give to. I haven't got to know anyone yet and I am not sure if the postie is regular or not, so I will have to forego it for this year and see what happens by next year.
Nope. No regular postman (and I actually wouldn't tip the postman anyway), no coal man and I buy my own milk. I only tip in other places if people have gone above and beyond call of duty, I don't tip people just for doing their job.
Yes a tenner to the dustmen and a tenner and a kiss to the postman
Tipped the Costermonger.
