MM Links Results July 2013 Week 3


The game has now closed and I can reveal that 'King Ulysses III' chose the following links:

WINDFLOWER (aka Anemone)
GRASS VERGE
SCOTCH EGG
TRAFFIC ISLAND

By far the most popular guess was 'Flower Power', chosen by half of the players but sadly that was not what King Ulysses III had in mind.
Last time round, by coincidence, UIII R also offered you 'Grass' linked that time with 'Widow'. . . but he abandoned that (lol) this time round and opted instead for something so much more Holy and obscure that nobody would have thought of it. They didn't.

Just who discovered what then?

Only two answers were found by those in the stampede from the shrubbery.

X-Ray pulled over onto the GRASS VERGE for 2 points and then Cupid04 fancied he could eat a SCOTCH EGG (2 points as well).

There was then a wait until 9:50 when Elspeth felt a slight breeze disturbing the heatwave and was inspired to go for WIND FLOWER.

Twenty two minutes later and the final link of TRAFFIC ISLAND was hit by Kettledrum.

That accounts for 8 points and just two singles were later claimed by Wickedtonge and Baza.

It was difficult to choose a hotshot in this game but I have awarded it to the finder of the last elusive link.

King Ulysses' challenges have turned into quite an enigma and not easy to predict
This month we have gone from a high of 59, through 32 to just 10 points this weekend. Even so there has been a small change to the leaderboard which has seen x-ray sneak a slight lead.
