Good evening and welcome to Nungate Towers.
Time for all members of the Mad Over Fifties Club to congregate and make merry!
Our tailcock for tonight is Mojito Madness! For our Hot Plate Special a delicious Steak Pie with lashings of gravy and creamy mash with carrots and peas - mmm.... and on the pudding trolley there is an apple and blackberry crumble and custard (cream is available) of course there are our customary volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers!
Playing in the gallery are the Minstrels with the usual madrigals and fugues.
Down in the ballroom The Tone Deafs with a delightful selection of '60's covers!
There are roaring fires in the library, and also in the snug where any member wishing a bit of quiet can make themselves comfortable and where a nice tray of refreshments awaits. Our huge library is open all members, and as well as the vast array of books we have a nice selection of all magazines and periodicals, I do believe the latest issue of
The Wheeltappers Gazette has just arrived! Up in the North Tower the
hot tub is bubbling away, the mini bar has been well stocked. The bungee is primed and ready for use, the indoor pool is also ready (cossies are ready for those who forgot to bring one)
A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals
carriages at midnight

Tony I may yet be able to "duck" out of the shopping trip (I hate shopping)
it all depends on whether my aching bones will allow me to sally forth or whether the want me to stay home - if she wants picked up late morning or in the afternoon I may not be able to weasel out of it as by that time I'm usually reasonably mobile

The dance recital was good but don't mind admitting that Gd's school was the best of the eight taking part. Bias? Nooo. Under the auspices of the Western Association of Ballet Schools. Called One Moment in Time and each chose a particular time in the past to illustrate in dance. Which brings me neatly into my rifle prizes.
A ration book. A tin of Spam. Some Camp coffee. Bottle of gravy browning, an overall with the utility mark on it, a pair of camiknickers and a silver coloured snood.
