I think the first one could be 'fairies', but the third is one I'm also stuck on. I did wonder if it could be linked to the phases of the moon, but the next full moon is tonight, not New Year's Day.
I'm also stuck on:
2. Treasure in the pudding (6, 6). I wondered if this one was Silver _____.
9. A name, a city, an asteroid (4).
24. What is the goat to Christmas (4, 2, 3, 6)? I know there's a Scandinavian goat burning tradition, but don't know how it relates to the answer.
