Good evening and welcome to the Annual Mad Over Fifties Club Christmas Ball
Nungate Towers is bedecked with Fairy Lights, the fires are lit in the hearths, tables are groaning with food and drinks! All that is missing is our members!
For our feast tonight Scoff the Chef has excelled himself! Roast Beef, Roast Turkey, Roast Pork and a haunch of Venison, will all the trimmings.
On the pudding trolley our patissier has also excelled himself! Opera Cake, Sherry Trifle, Ice Cream Sundaes, Christmas Pudding and Tiramisu (with a festive twist!) Of course there will be an even larger selection of volly vonts, canopies and horses doovers not to mention a plethora of other festive nibbles!
Our Tailcock for this evening is Merry Mistletoe, and just for tonight the Tapster has brewed a special Christmas Ball Ale, and has a delicious mulled wine punch
Playing in the ballroom is the Muckleflugga and District Concert Orchestra, famous throughout two counties! Also playing in the Great Hall is DJ 49 for those wishing to throw some shapes! Down in the Entry Hall, the Minstrels will be joined by our local Choir for some Christmas Carol singing around the Christmas tree.
Igor has polished his "special" chains they sparkle just like the fairy lights!
Sir Cumference has donned his white tie and tails and will be joining in the
fun in the ballroom.
As tonight is a special night there won't be a rofl, but everyone will be leaving with a party bag! Who knows, maybe even a visit from Santa himself!
So come along and join in the fun, a warm welcome awaits all who enter these portals tonight.

I've got some new DVD's I'm saving to watch over the holidays, for times when the telly isn't that good. There's a few things I want to see, and there's a book I would like but I can't download it onto the kindle so I'll have to go and actually buy a book! (I know I'm having a Fred Bassett annual though - I don't care what I get for presents as long as there's a Fred Bassett book)
Yes, merry Christmas, PB.

Igor, could I have another bucket please.
Mad
