Good Evening and welcome to tonights Mad Over Fifties Club. All of us at Nungate Towers hope you had a lovely Christmas.
Igor is on annual leave this weekend, he should be with us next week.
After last week's very big ball things tonight are a little low key at the towers.
Tonight's Tailcock is 'The Hoolie' a concoction that will certainly either blow you away or blow your socks off! On the Hot Plate this evening we have a mild Chicken Curry with plentiful amounts of rice, if you are looking for something lighter we have a warmed duck salad or pate with Melba Toasts. We also have the usual Canopies and Horses Doovers! On the pudding trolley we have a Triple Chocolate Mousse (no animals were hurt in the making of said mousse!)
The usual bands have other commitments this evening BUT we have brought out the Jukebox so you tonight club members are in charge of the music.
We have giant dominoes or chess set up in the games room.
The hot tub is bubbling away nicely and the minibar has been re-stocked.
For the Rofl we have
job lot of wrapping paper (used)
box of broken baubles
one glass fairy (chipped wing)
one santa suit (XS) only has one boot
selection box (empty)
Plant will be acting as butler tonight
A warm Welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals, Carriages at Midnight
Doesn't take much to distract me. Have a butterfly mind, often found multi-tasking unless I am reading. Then the roof could fall in and as long as I had enough light to read I probably wouldn't notice.
sorry i haven't joined you this evening (am just going to shut down and go to bed) but really do feel a bit under the weather at the moment and today was a particularly bad day. feeling so cold and shivery. the house is warm but i'm notmy back is cold, my tummy is cold and my throat could be used to grate granite.
hope you have all had a good evening. lots of (()) and xx to you. cyber ones only as it's not safe to get close just now. (((xxx)))
Cost us a lot of dosh for an education and she can't spell! Waste of money!
Hello, again.
Still feeling bad, and no it's not a hangover....Tony. using the kindle so this could prove interesting and lengthy - impossible to touchstone on this gadget!
Lj, you have my sympathy. Feeling cold is awful and enervating. Do you fancy a hot toddy? Could warm and ease your throat and make you feel a little less chilled. Take care of yourself.
thank you all for your kind wishes. i just don't fancy any alcohol at the moment. not for a few weeks in fact. this cold has been hanging around for nearly three weeks now. it has gone beyond the steaming stage and is now leaving me feeling cold and exhausted whenever i go to do anything. wish someone had a magic wand.
Hello Lady J feel better soon, off to bed with a nice hot toddy is my recommendation, Mr N makes a nice hot toddy but I can't send him to make one for you as I need him to look after me at the moment
