Were you expecting Scorpiojo? Unfortunately, she was unable to accept the honour so this is “King Cliffyg” back to give you a five week month of challenges.

The town where I live, Loughton in Essex, is having a May Fair this weekend with a proper pole, dancers and all the fun expected on a Bank Holiday weekend.

I am at a wedding today of a delightful girl, Aimee, who has grown up at the cricket club.

With my wife and I at the wedding the team will struggle missing the chairman, a scorer and tea lady: and with us and the bride’s father absent bar takings will be down considerably.

As long-standing MM Links devotees will know, Deecee and myself are besotted by the game of cricket and it is a major part of our lives throughout the year.

I think that Deecee’s umpiring is unbelievable and when umpires have unbelievable performances it is fair to congratulate them. What he does for cricket is fantastic.

(I think the Chelsea manager said something similar about referees)


I am starting with a tough week so think outside the box if you want to top the leader board
