well, here we are again. Another Saturday and time for Mad Over Fifties Club, so come on in for a giggle! Igor is on standby to collect, brooms, wellies, brollies and other sundry items, just don't hope for their safe return at the end of our evening as he likes to hide them about the Towers, and his memory isn't what it was......
Our tailcock tonight is the is the "Soggy Saturday" well named I think. It is an interesting brew with quite a kick! We also have the return of the Running Buffet - catch it if you can ...... For the less fit among us a light supper has been laid in the Snug, it includes volly vonts, horses doovers and canopies, as well as a delicious selection of other goodies.
We have a DJ booked for members wishing to dance down in the ballroom.
As always all our facilities are available to members, though I would recommend that members might prefer to remain indoors this evening in view of the inclement weather.
Queenie sends her apologies she will not be joining us this evening.
For the rofl I have:
3 bottles of Rose bubble bath (would the winner kindly refrain from tossing it in the moat or in the fountains - thank you)
Bag of odd socks - mostly left ones
12 Back issues of The Lady Magazine

A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter these portals

We have a bell tower Madame?
Ohhh, very CAMPanoligist of you, stuey, I'll hang on to your legs.

Good, glad to hear someone sensible is in charge, Daisy.
Hopefully nun, some things never go out of fashion.
Are you impugning my sensibleness Tony?

I'm sure we have a bell tower Igor, I could swear I spotted one .......
Question Author
I have a bounden duty not to be sensible ....
Cor blimey, Your Ladyship! My joy knows no bounds. I'll do me best, honest like. And while I'm pulling your ropes in the Tower on the hill I'll be singin' "I Found My Thrill On Nungate's Hill".
Of course theres a bell tower, I have often done freefall parachuting from it. It's great if the parachute opens !.

Most certainly not your Daisyship, I just wondered in case the shelf elf was in charge.
The Bells! The Bells! sorry about that
Question Author
Be careful Mr. N doesn't hear you singing that Stuey, he's fond of my hills (and lumps and bumps) and doesn't like to share
Tony, now don't you be getting bonked in the bean with my Bflat brass bell!
It's the getting bonked by the clapper that bothers me, stuey.

Daisy, pack that in, stuey will get the hump.
Ah! Back to Tilly's toilet tribulations.
The shelf Magic forfend! He is currently in disgrace and supposed to be counting the pea harvest, individual peas, that is. Luckily he won't eat anything that does not come out of a can or a jar.
Oops, sorry: that was her flapper not her clapper.
Daisy I love the word 'impugn'
nice to see you ..you're nungateness, hope you are ' better '
Glad that the Bell Tower is not a phantom of Stuey's imagination!
