Radio Times Big Picture Quiz 2015
91 Answers
In the Christmas Radio Times there are 50 clues to TV programmes in a large picture. Until someone can find a link to the picture, some clues will only make sense to those who can see it. Here are 25 I need help with:
1 Dickensian style cartoon of a man sheltering from the rain under an umbrella
2 The word Forgotten crossed out with a red zig zag
3 Metallic W inside a circle
4 Dark figure by a lake and heavy clouds ? Top of the Lake
5 Welsh flag with mortar board on dragon's head
6 Swirly design which could be icing sugar ? Bake Off
7 Meteor flying over turreted chimneys ?? X Factor
8 The letters LIFE in white and black on red, blue, yellow and green
9 Small grey mound of ? ash
10 The words CRIME + CRIME
11 The words "You can run but can you hide"
12 The words "Do not feed the humans" with accompanying road sign
13 Pictures of couples and children
14 The words "Casual Worker wanted"
15 An Egyptian looking cat on a stand
16 Woman with red dress and white ruff ?? Ripper Street
17 Woman in a green coat ? Downton Abbey
18 The words "Any colour as long as it's black"
19 Arabic graffitti
20 Map of the UK with a woman's face
21 The word WILES ? Lewis
22 A headdress looking arrangement of knives
23 A red flower ? a tudor rose (surely Wolf Hall is clued somewhere)
24 Yellow and blue design in shop window (if this is one of the clues)
25 Small "fairy on the tree" design (if it is one of the clues)
Thanks for any suggestions, Ramsfan

Here is a revised list from my previous answers. I now have 47 out of 50. 2 of the questions, No 6 and No 9 with a choice of two possible correct answers for each question, plus 1 question No47 with no answer at all. I worked on the first page of the picture in columns, top to bottom, moving across left to right. The second page I worked across, left to right, in lines...

I've found the rose picture, described as a Tudor Rose and Crown, the centre of which is used for item 23. See:

It's in a stained-glass window in Flowton Priory. As all Tudor Rose pictures differ from each other, I can only assume that the clue refers to 'Wolf Hall' shown on BBC in January.

An earlier answer identifies this as Lady Chatterley's Lover. I'd incorrectly thought it was I'm a celebrity because of all the fuss about Lady C.

marycat00, Thanks for your very comprehensive list. I am stuck on the same two as you: 1. The Ashes or Ash vs Evil Dead and 2. X Factor or You me and the Apocalypse.
I have got Alex Polizzi: Chefs on Trial (rather than Hire our Heroes) and
The cat in the shop window I think refers to the Sitcom 'Catastrophe' (Cat as Trophy).
