This is nearly half of the picture clues in this very good quiz. All able to be found on the web with a bit of persistence.
I really wonder why you do quizzes as you never answer them yourself!
Question Author
well only asking for extra clues not answers
Question Author
or maybe hints on where to look
Google - lists of animals etc. Pictures are all on the web. I admit it took me ages with a few but very satisfying to get the answer yourself. Which is why it is so frustrating to have it given out on here when you have worked so hard for it.
Well said Gill.
If you can't do pictures, why send for a picture quiz?
Seems odd logic to me.
Leave smurf alone. This is a Q&A site and they are perfectly entitles to ask. The quiz police get up my nose!
What is meant by the quiz police? This what happens when there is no asking before such a date I think this was no asking before 15th March. What a surprise its the 15th of March today. I'm glad I sent mine off.
Quite right Quizproquo.
I think we know who the self appointed quiz police are and they get up my nose too.
Smurf, please feel free to ask any questions you want. I thought you were being particularly good in only asking for clues.

This is a great deal of what the site is about - people helping one another when they get stuck.

I don't understand your logic QuizmasterG - why not ask for help on a Q&A site full of smart quizzers? Why are you so negative about it.

Gill - we are on the web, Smurf is being persistent, nor is she actually asking for answers. Your position is unreasonable.

"Google it" is an unacceptable answer on The Answerbank!

chorley9 - What are you on about? What difference does it make whether you sent yours off before or after an "asking date"?

I have no idea why you're so aggressive on this, or why you let it bother you so much!

Thanks all for you contributions. Can you imagine if it was a new user? It's like you don't want anyone to get into doing these quizzes at all. It's not a closed club!
I was only curious as to why, if picture quizzes are difficult, do you request them.
There must be loads of other quizzes that you can (?) do.
Perfectly reasonable question - it is a question and answer site after all!
Sorry, possibly a bit harsh on you QuizmasterG - it's just that comments about the sort of question people are asking tends to lead to the person asking the question to not get an answer at all.

And the point of the site is for people to get answers! :)
How many people will stop doing this quiz as they know that despite their efforts looking for things and putting a bit of work in, someone will waltz in at the last minute and request all the answers on here?
Surely the person setting the quiz and the cause they are trying to help will suffer as a result?
Another perfectly reasonable question?
Well said quizmaster there are quite a few quizzes I've stopped doing for that very same reason. The reason I said I've sent mine in is because I can't be accused of looking on here for answers.
How on earth can you give clues to pictures. They are what it says Creatures that are active during the night etc.
Some points to think about:

* Most don't ask for the entire quiz
* Some, like here, don't even ask for answers, just clues.
* We promote quizzes and puzzles each month - giving setters a platform to reach a few more people each month.
* We've been running since 2000 - have we killed any puzzles yet? You might tell me we have, I don't really know! You'll need to show me the grave though.
* How will the cause or setter suffer by more entries?
chorley9 - I don't think anyone would have the energy to dedicate breath to accusing you of asking for help?

smouse - a clue to a picture could be phrased as a cryptic, or "think about x" to push someone towards the right subject. It's not that difficult if you wanted to help?
Google - what's wrong with Google?
At least on there people are finding the answer for themselves which is what quizzing is all about.
This is a website where people ask others for answers - answering "google it" is not an acceptable answer.

Googling is not a user "finding answers for themselves" - any more than asking a question here.

I feel these are very weak defining lines that are being used to bully members of this site... for a reason I've yet to fathom.

Don't get me wrong, if someone reports a question asking for literally every answer of a quiz, then that will get removed, but an innocuous question like this? I don't know where all the stress comes from...
