No best answer has yet been selected by smurf. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Smurf, please feel free to ask any questions you want. I thought you were being particularly good in only asking for clues.
This is a great deal of what the site is about - people helping one another when they get stuck.
I don't understand your logic QuizmasterG - why not ask for help on a Q&A site full of smart quizzers? Why are you so negative about it.
Gill - we are on the web, Smurf is being persistent, nor is she actually asking for answers. Your position is unreasonable.
"Google it" is an unacceptable answer on The Answerbank!
chorley9 - What are you on about? What difference does it make whether you sent yours off before or after an "asking date"?
I have no idea why you're so aggressive on this, or why you let it bother you so much!
Thanks all for you contributions. Can you imagine if it was a new user? It's like you don't want anyone to get into doing these quizzes at all. It's not a closed club!

How many people will stop doing this quiz as they know that despite their efforts looking for things and putting a bit of work in, someone will waltz in at the last minute and request all the answers on here?
Surely the person setting the quiz and the cause they are trying to help will suffer as a result?

Some points to think about:
* Most don't ask for the entire quiz
* Some, like here, don't even ask for answers, just clues.
* We promote quizzes and puzzles each month - giving setters a platform to reach a few more people each month.
* We've been running since 2000 - have we killed any puzzles yet? You might tell me we have, I don't really know! You'll need to show me the grave though.
* How will the cause or setter suffer by more entries?

This is a website where people ask others for answers - answering "google it" is not an acceptable answer.
Googling is not a user "finding answers for themselves" - any more than asking a question here.
I feel these are very weak defining lines that are being used to bully members of this site... for a reason I've yet to fathom.
Don't get me wrong, if someone reports a question asking for literally every answer of a quiz, then that will get removed, but an innocuous question like this? I don't know where all the stress comes from...
