Never went to nightclubs but Mr BD used to go into Manchester a lot with my brother. They went to the Jungfrau, the Twisted Wheel, the Oasis and the Jigsaw. He remembers getting a stamp on the back of his hand if they wanted to go out of the club. They changed the stamp and the colour each night so you could not cheat and get in for free. Remember Henry Afrikas as we moved out to Saddleworth at one point and used to do my shopping in Oldham.
Mainly these places during the 70's

Tiffany's in Manchester I used to love as it was a bit more laid back than most clubs.
Placemate 7 (ex Twisted Wheel) I got dragged along to, if the lads were 'on the pull', but never really got into - couldn't handle 7 dance floors with 7 lots of music in what was basically a mid-terrace house.
One I can't remember the name of (help anyone) was in a basement on a side street next to Kendals. Just a Heavy Rock jukebox blaring away all night.
