Many thanks, losts of you are thinking like me, the only problem is that I can only use each letter once and I have G already for 'half a horse' as in gee gee. I wondered if it could be E as in ' ee by gum' but not really Cumbrian. Can't think what to do with Z!!!!

Two of them = W
Another river = X (exe)

so this leaves EFRZ
Cumbrian admiration, ".... and blind", West country "yes" and Half of petrol

I really meant for you to give the available letters, not type the whole quiz. For what it's worth I agree with your answers but that leaves Z for the petrol one.

If so that might free up the letter used for it.
