First of all let me thank everybody for your Good Wishes on our 6oth W.A. I am now walking in the same circles as jno i.e. after a phone call to Buckingham Palace (made by daughter) we have received a Congratulatory Letter and Photo of the Queen and also one from the Governor -General of Australia and one from our Prime Minister on the occasion of Our Diamond...
Can any one help me please ,I'm doing my Family Tree and I desperately need to know if Preston Richard /Patrick in Westmoreland is anywhere near Dalton-in-Furness in Lancashire ?
Morning all...we got your share of the rain jno, it's been persisting down all night, there's a lake outside my house.
Yes Dolly, good for you & Mr D! Don't expect any curtseying malarkey though, this damp plays havoc with my knees.
Jude my son sent some lovely pics of the family at the weekend and I'll soon be setting myself up with skype...I just want Tarquin to come & sort out one or two probs with the puta first.
Morning all, and well done Dolly. You're welcome to come for tea any time you like here!
I'm just waiting for my friend to come so we can go for a walk. It hasn't stopped raining like Robi says but it is brightening up a bit so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Pleased you're going to get Skype Robi I know I rave about it but I just feel it's so good.
Hope Kit gets her PC sorted so we can get all her news.
Have a good day all ~ I'll be back x
Dark and dismal here ,sloshing down .Most depressing .
My news is not good news .I'll pop in and see you all again soon .Take care everypne
bye for now .xx
Thanks a lot for that Robi ,31 miles is not very far is it .Mind in the 1800's it could have been a step too far !
We're thinking of you Shaney ,all the best .xxxx
How do you all get on with Skype (those that have it) I find there is a dreadful time delay and we end up speaking over each other. I avoid it when I can!
right, had five minutes of light rain, now gloriously sunny. I blame The Coalition. At least it means I won't have to water the garden today and get bitten by demon flies.
Dolly, depending on the terrain, 30 miles wouldn't have been all that far. You hear about medieval peasants never leaving their villages; but anyone who had a trade might well have moved around a bit and even in a horse and cart you could probably do that in a couple of days.
I forgot to say congratulations to Dolly!! So many congratulations from me. Mr LL is hogging the study today and working from home. He has just gone into town and I have sneaked in to say hello.
Special thoughts to Shaney. We are all thinking of you and Mr S. xxxx
(I have a jumper on and SOCKS!! Very rarely do I wear socks, even in the winter, but I'm chilly and my joints ache.
