Radio Times Christmas Picture Quiz 2021

Whose got their Christmas Radio Times for this years Picture Quiz? I've made a start and got up to 36 answers.

I think I’ve got 49/50 but I’m not sure on a couple of my answers.

Is the flash of light/bang a separate clue or the crown on the chimney or the figure in the window near the Darrowby sign?

The figure in the window looks to me a bit like Kitty from Ghosts but it’s very hard to see.

The flash of light maybe linked the the tower as that is one of the answers I am not happy with.

The other two, I don't think are answers.

I have 3 that I am not sure about:
1) The tower - I don't think the picture is the same tower from the series
2) White Lotus - the white flower on the blackboard doesn't look like a lotus to me
3) Repair Shop - Fluorescent spanner, screwdiver and gear. Or is it Top Gear?

With Shetland I'm up to 49. Leaving me with one from:

1. Whatever's in the window below The Volunteer.
2. Black on chimney. (I'm now wondering if this is just part of the original picture.)
3. Striped top.
4. Flash and object at the foot of the tower.
5. Thistle

The Tower is not the Tower drama, wrong building but I’m not sure of the relevance of the flash. I’ve got 50 without the black chimney stack.

Who is the man to the right of Squid Game doll?

I’m on 47. Also missing tower block, striped jumper, Big Bang sign.

From memory (but above) it was Marilynne who corrected my Peaky Blinders and said the man was Omar Sy from Lupin (French drama). I'm going for Universe for Big Bang sign but others think Big Bang theory. Initially thought jumper was Schitt's creek but no longer sure about that. And tending to think tower block is part of background picture rather than a clue. People have identified source pictures in the past. I remember a couple of years ago it was the centre of Holmfirth. And that helps decide what is a clue and what is background.

I agree, I think the Big Bang sign is ‘Universe’ the mini series with Brian Cox. Big Bang Theory finished in 2019 so don’t think it’ll be that.

I’ve now got the block of flats and the striped t-shirt to work out

Though it could be Young Sheldon, the Big Bang spin-off. I think Universe is more likely.

Young Sheldon is good shout.

Lady in red dress is from Ru Paul’s Drag race.

The pipe is the Netflix series The Serpent.

I think someone else noticed that the tower block isn’t the same one from ‘The Tower’

I’m thinking Scrap Kings for the tower, hence the explosion? Jumper looks different to ones on Schitt’s Creek.

I’ve just noticed the lady in the long blue coat on page 169 of the Radio Times.
Can anyone please identify the tower block clue?

Repair shop doesn't make sense for neon sign in the window, any ideas?

acblock I'm not convinced about The Repair Shop either. I'm still puzzled about the flower in front of the window and the striped jumper too.

I’m beginning to think the tower, with its multicoloured lights might not be the tower but only murders in the building

I have 49 and I’m struggling to get the last one as I’m not sure what clue I’m looking for ! Feel like were all in the same boat. I’m torn between the tower block, the jumper, the object on the roof and the bright light/explosion.
