It comes up as ribes when I google it. What is your reference for it being citrus?
Citrus are typically segmented with a thick skin.

That's interesting; they call it a citrus fruit because it contains citric acid. That's reasonable but I don't think most people would consider other fruits containing citric acid, such as blackcurrants and apples, to be citrus fruits.
