Ive mucked this one up I thought it was Queens Council - solicitor who works for the crown?

If it were, then it would be spelled "Queen's Counsel".


I think the spelling is Queen's Councel

I think the answer was Queens Proctor.
Pleased you said that Shaneystar2, I have sent in my completed crossword and beginning to have doubts of my Queen's Proctor with the previous chat!!!

thanks dont know whether its Queen's Proctor or Counsel .. thank you everyone
Tizzi..if it's any help I had put Queen's Counsel to start with but this would not fit with the down clues. Hence I found this on wikipedia
The Queen's Proctor (or King's proctor) is the proctor or solicitor representing the Crown in the courts of probate and divorce.
Why is it that when someone says they have worked with the law and gives you an answer tizzi, you are still not confident? Anyway, you have your confirmation now! Happy New Year!
