good answer but Oxford is a city. I need a town please
Street, Somerset
There's a Henley shirt and Henley Street in London.
How does 'London's shirt' come into that, blaris?
As in Jermyn Street. Although wikipedia says Street is a village.
Sorry, blaris, see where you were coming from. :))
Time for bed, methinks.
Yes Oxford is a city....but its also a county town.
Will be good to know the answer when its published
Jermyn Street really does seem to be the best fit for the clue because of the strong shirt connection.
I see where blaris is coming from. Street calls itself the largest village in Somerset. They may want to hold onto that description but the size and population definitely make it a town.
If the town is Street wouldn't Oxford Street work too as Oxford is a type of shirt
I'm late to this and really don't know but Jermyn Street describes exactly the whole clue of London's shirt thoroughfare as that's what Jermyn St is famous for.
Agree hope we get to see what the answer is at some point.
Oxfords are shirts, trousers and shoes. Do they do anything there but clothing?
