I've got most of them. BUT I've looked & I've looked (including hours trawling theanswerbank!) and I canNOT find:

Quotes #3: which doctor recently quit with the words "I'm not much of a one for goodbyes". It's not Dr Who, I don't think, since his last words were different - but perhaps the Times isn't looking for LAST last words, merely almost-last!?

Quotes #7: Bad Boys of the Blitz: who described WWII as the "most exciting and profitable time"?

Quotes #9: WHO was funded this year to glide through the air shouting "I'm a condor!"

Quotes #10: what skill is described (&by whom) as "all about taking your time, keeping on trying..."?

Fine Tuning #1 Who took 2nd and 3rd places behind Jonathan Ross in the "Most powerful people in Radio" poll?

*sigh* - help! ~ If I can help with any of the others in exchange, I will gladly do so!!

Seems it was "Mad" Frankie Fraser

In fact I found it by searching in Google for "exciting and profitable" and Blitz.

Terry Wogan and John Humphreys came second and third behind Jonathon Ross.
Spivs...were probably the bad boys of the Blitz.

Fine Tuning 1 is Terry Wogan and John Humphrys

Again not difficult to find, just searched in Google under "Most powerful people in Radio " (with the quotes)

This is a long link so may not fit

*grin* Thanks guys! Yes, I found out the Blitz question about 2 minutes after I'd given up and posted the above appeal, and hurried to add a stoppress to say so: but could not get the correct search terms into Google for it to tell me the Radio Times poll. It kept on throwing up the Radio Times most powerful in TV...

And I take it that you're all equally stumped by the Quotes #3, 9, and 10!
