I don't do this puzzle, but it is late and I am watching and Dinkypuzzled I might seem stupid but I haven't got it!?! Please put me out of my misery!!

I can only assume Dinkypuzzled means Panda Car. The final p of bishop with and a and then the car of cardinal. It's only 5,3 instead of 6,3 but is a force car ie police force

Sorry for the mixup everyone - as Magyar says, the clue should have read (5,3). Stick with Panda.

Clue 80. Still confused by number of conflicting suggestions. Presumably dinkypuzzled's entries have nothing to do with the Rainbow puzzle? "Stick with Panda" occurs in some other puzzle.

pauline ward and Dinkypuzzled. panda car is not the answer unless you have changed the number of letters in the first word of No 80 in the rainbow quiz, or are doing a different puzzle !!??

Razza I think I must be missing something ! Unless Clue 80 in your Quiz differs, the number of letters in the first half of the answer as given by the invigilator is 6 and not 5 as in Panda. As I assume you will know Panda as defined in Chambers could give two more possible answers as indicated in previous postings. Could you please clarify as I am hoping to wrap this up shortly. Thanks.

Razza and Mahonia and others No. 80 Inviligator Error. The on screen preview of the puzzle which I was using for draft purposes is not the same as the copy sent to me through the post, which shows a different no. 80. The on screen version shows this clue with six letters in the first word as opposed to five. Whether it is five or six you can obtain a reasonable answer from either so probably include both. I don't know how the marker will sort this out !! I think that we could agree that both solutions are correct. Maybe you all think differently.

Razza and others As the five lettter word is included in the Puzzle "copy" sent out to be completed by all entrants I have decided to stick with the five letters, rather than the six, and answer accordingly. Sorry for this rather long thread which started at midnight last night. Now I can relax

Both my on screen puzzle,which I download and print off,for a draft copy and the sheet sent to me by rainbow charities has got 5 and 3 letters for question 80

Magic 1 I have just looked at the puzzle on Rainbow Charity web site,it does say 6 and 3 on the puzzle,however if you download it and print it off,rather than just print it from the page,then it does come out as 5 and 3.I have seen those anomalies before,but they are few and far between and always correct on the downloaded version or the copy you get direct from Rainbow.
