Georgia O'keefe was the painter, she moved to Taos in the mid 30's and also painted in Abiqui, New Mexico...

Haven't had a chance to pick one or the other yet

but she moved to Santa Fe... she was a "visitor" of Taos, correct? That's how I decided to interpret it. Others followed in visiting Taos as well.
