I've posted this on Arts and Literature but thought i'd see if any one on the Quiz site can help.
It's not the greatest poem in the world and is probably late Victorian. Mum used to sing it to us as children and my sister has just had her first grandchild and wants to carry on the tradition. All we can remember is:
The Chill November day was done The working world home faring ??????????????????????? That set the gas lights flaring
Any tips or anyone who knows the poem will be gratefully received as ever. A very kind Aber called Muffet on the Arts & literature site has helped me with another poem and when I read it I was 5 years old again .
