Have found the canal, but Conrad lived in Aldington, which doesn't seem to be 1 mile north of anywhere. Has anybody found somewhere else in Kent that Conrad lived?

I've been waiting for this becuase I found Hamstreet as well as Aldington which is a mile from the other place - the name of whiuch escapes me. What about the name of the canal? It started life under one name but then was renamed afterwards -which did you opt for?
Put down both!

Conrad lived at Capel House, Orlestone. The other author lived at Warehorne- 1 mile south.

Strange! I've got Bishopsbourne for Conrad (house called 'Oswalds').

I assume the canal is the Royal Military Canal.
Any further observations?
I've now got 4 places in Kent where Conrad lived. The RMC is the second name given to the canal which is what I opted for.
I reckon R.H. Barham lived in Warehorne,so 1 mile north is Hamstreet, however, Orlestone and Aldington also fit the bill but not the map references, any ideas?

Urghhh! This is the problem I've been having, too - that Conrad lived in more than one place in Kent. Thanks for your responses, have opted for Royal Military for the canal. Will get back to the search engines.....

Think Orlestone is a good bet. Conrad def lived there, it fits geographically, and Wikipedia describes it as "a hamlet". Thanks, all.
