Congratulations cruciverbals on your win.

Quizmonster has won Azed three times this year and you are keeping up the AB tradition.

Although I complete and enter every week my name has still to come up -but we persist! K
Congratulations cruciverbals ! I don't do Azed at all - I've nothing against it: I just don't have the time, but I really enjoy the Speccie even though it usually takes me most of the week !
Congratulations. Please tell me what is the AZED? Thanks.
Hi Ontarioice.- The Azed is an advanced puzzle which can be found in The Observer - one of our Sunday newspapers - similar to Mephisto ( Sunday Times ).

& Cruciverbals....I haven't actually started what I consider to be this week's Spectator ! But I did look up 'san' in Chambers and it is there - both definitions used in xword + one other ! I think Chambers should be on your wish list for Christmas ! I can't recommend it highly enough.

Sorry cruciverbals. In my reply to your query about Spectator 1792 I led you up the garden path --- that all related to another crossword ! I'm glad that you managed to finish it OK without my b_m steer !
Thank you Kettledrum for your reply. Again, I have hit a brick wall in that the puzzle is not available in these here parts.
Hi Cruciverbals....following your post, and it being such a horrible day I've got ahead of myself and have actually done this week's Speccie before next week's has arrived! Just one question for you or anyone elsewho does this...I don't entirely understand:
Parts of flowers become distorted, losing width, pressed by sheets (7) Carpels. Why? - I understand 'parts of flowers' !
Warp minus w in cels
