Types of Building- Cryptic Clues

All answers are types of building (e.g., house, palace, church, etc.,) but no number of letters in the answers are given. So, two remaining answers needed - 1. "Ignore the male of the species", and 2. "Conservative in a boat that is beyond repair" Any thoughts, anyone! Thanks.

Doug - Hold fire on No. 2. It doesn't ring quite true. Anagrams are not usually constructed in this way!
Only use "conurbation" as a last resort.

Point taken, Crofter, but several of the other answers are also "phonetic", so I do think you've got it right ! It's not a "professional-type" puzzle. I reckon I will go along with it.

I think that I have had some good clues to solve today!
"Oliver Twist" was one i'd done earlier! It's from a Quiz that's worth sending off for!

Yes I've just seen that ( and my own spectacularly wrong
answer -- didn't see the "or evil" bit and throught it had to be an answer from all the categories)-- good job someone else is on their toes!
Haven't sent off for quizzes before, but maybe I will, to while away the wet days of winter.
