MM Links Game Solutions 2007 February [Week 2]
29 Answers
The time has come to "FACE the MUSIC" and disclose the links chosen by rogerr (aka Barbara). They are:
TINKER Bell
Drum HEAD
SHOE Horn
Organ GRINDER
The usual avalanche of entries this week brought its customary rewards with bonus points for "first guessing". The first link to fall was Organ Grinder at
the amazing time of 09.01 following a prompt posting by rogerr at 09.00am.
Quick on the trigger was lector - who also advanced Kettle Drum as the second link. Would rogerr be so obvious? Many were in two minds here - including the
hapless kettledrum (more on that later).
Shortly afterwards at 09.05, the consistent Christiana picked up Shoe Horn for two points and the guesses continued to flow in! Entrant #16 was our very own
paulineward (aka "a real wind up") who scored a hit with Drum Head. These later words are a great deal more difficult to spot.
The last link resisted all attempts to find until Entrant #50 (kettledrum) appeared and plucked Tinkerbell out of the air! These four all score two points and are the leaders for this week's round. There is a string of one-pointers,
but no-one in a field of 50 was able to make two hits in a row.

No best answer has yet been selected by crofter. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Over these last two weeks, evsajo still leads with her 4 points from last week, which she was unable to build on. Behind her, only wickedtongue managed to close the gap to only a single point. In the chasing pack, there are six ABers in hot pursuit all on two points.
This was yet another low-soring round with every chance that the scores can be overtaken in the next Two Weeks! Rogerr has hinted that next week should be high scoring!
As for the period covering the last 10 weeks, the most consistent player who's yet to win is Christiana. She has amassed 12 points since the beginning of December. During this same time, wickedtongue has picked up 10 points - and Arabesque and burgess3334 have 9 points, and sarumite 8 points. I would expect the next winner to come from this group! Unless you know differently.
Thanks again to the extended team of Barbara (rogerr) for choosing the links and postings in the UK, Steff (seekeerz) for stirling work down under, and Aquagility for the paperwork(!)
This is crofter signing off for another week until next weekend, when you are invited to double your present score with some easier links from Barbara. Mind you, if your present score is ZERO, then the possibilty of doubling it is not really going to send tingles up your spine.

I won't do the Queen's speech this week this week, owing to so many nodding off last time.
I have to congratulate everybody that scored points this week-It's never easy to suss my mind, as Mr G will verify!
My special thanks go to Kettledrum for guessing Tinkerbell-crofter has called me this all weekend, and I so wanted someone to guess it! I really wanted to tell you at the time, but obviously I couldn't.
Here's to next week in the shrubbery!
All the best

glad to see EVSAJO is still leading, but she has problems, she went to Brixham yesterday to say with her daughter and grandchildren over the school holidays, and it appears that computers haven't reached Brixham yet. So on Saturday she will be putting me in charge of her entry once again. The question is how much should I charge for this service?
