KM Links Results Update

Sorry - week 3 results have been a bit delayed, life suddenly became rather hectic.

Just a quick re-cap lysander had a very good week with a total of seven points and four correct answers, followed by freebi2 with 5 points.

Next with three points each came crofter, Christiana, seekeerz, rogerr, Eiggam, LaneyB, cpfcrosiel, chiefpanda, David masterchef, wickedtongue & kettledrum

Two points each to Jan1956, bridgenut, Alibobs, bangor, Dinkypuzzled, MrJimJools, Muzz, gen2, Arabesque, twosearch, chriss, devadiva, DizzyLizzie, ShazzaHewat, Aquagility, Elspeth & patchett

One point scorers were cliffug, sarumite, Magyar, Grenmus, JMR27, MrsJimJools, ChrisHewat & Mr0-ice

Congratulations one and all.

At this point the leaderboard looks something like this

Aquagilty is leading the way with 12 points, next comes lysander with 9.

With 6 points each there are Jan1956, freebi2, chiefpanda & Muzz

With 5 points are DizzyLizzie, Christiana, rogerr, Arabesque, cpfcrosiel, wickedtongue, LaneyB, devadiva & twosearch

So it all comes down to next weekend - can a late finishing burst topple the reigning king off his perch or will Aquagility take the crown for the second successive month ?? mazie, can't believe you haven't stumbled across our little escapade before now!!

Brief details are as follows: The Sat Tel. GK crossword has 4 highlighted clues, of which the answers will link with similar clues/answers in the Monday, Herculis puzzle. Our liitle game is to predict these linkwords in advance, and is something we started about 6 months ago .. we now have monthly league tables of points scored. Absolutely anyone is welcome to take part, and Steff (seekerz) is currently i/c all of the scoring and paperwork.

The next thread for participation will be posted early on Saturday. (S) :O)

You wouldn't know about it, as you don't play with your computer at weekends do you?

It's because so many people couldn't get at the Links last weekend that there has been a flurry of interest in 'the other place'

the KM links mazie are the link words on the Saturdays Telegraph Crossword which link with 4 on the Telegraphs mondays crossword. We all try to guess what the 4 words will be to make (supposedly) well known sayings.
We do the MM links as well this is when the winner of the previous Month gives us 4 topical words, he/she e mails the 4 words that they have linked with them to crofter (who gets out his abbacus and chocolate buttons) and marks us with virtual points if we guess correctly.
not sure this makes sense hope it helps. Ofcouse we all meet in the shrubbery on a friday night to gang up on sarumite (to stop him getting 4 out of 4) bring the spam sandwiches if you want to join in!

you do not need a paper for the MM game just be up bright and early ie 9am to see the words burgess has set us and guess the links

Just got home, boys and girls. So with a bit of luck I should have caught up on the sleep and be up bright and early on Saturday morning.

Lets just hope that AB works properly this weekend.
