Help please, as usual there's one I can't confirm ...

43a The weakest or smallest piglet in a litter or meaning to persistently attack an enemy (5) H???Y.

Harry obviously fits second part of clue, but as yet unable to find reference to piglet, and have looked in Chambers).

Thanks (S)

Hi Sarumite. I did find a site that gave "Harry" as well as a few other words as meaning weakest piglet.
which site, chopswick?
Hi, S
I found Harry as well though I think it is more to do with attacking the enemy. I always thought the pigglet was a runt.
jan
where did you find it?

Thanks all ... I can't really see any alternative.. but would be grateful if you could point us towards the site where you found it Chopswick (S)

Thanks jan .. have it now. (S)
looks as if encarta is the only dictionary to have this meaning. i'm dubious. even the shorter oxford doesn't have it and this is (says encarta) a uk regional term.
what makes this even more curious is that the encarta world english dictionary (which i have) does NOT carry this meaning.
