I don't know about the rest of you, but I have found the Recent Posts Pod very useful - until yesterday that is.

Yesterday, I noticed that questions and answers in Q&P are no longer showing up in the Pod. (Yes:- (before you say it) I AM refreshing the Pod). Today it is just the same.

I emailed the techies (using the 'Contact Us' form at the foot of every page) but was fobbed of with a stock answer about 'busy times etc'.

Surely I am not alone in experiencing this?

If others are also missing this info from their Recent Posts Pod, then please let the techies know and then maybe they will take it seriously and check it out.

Thank you.

Thank you for replying JjP and bibster.

I think I have sussed it - the Pod is only monitoring sub-sections of categories and not the top level. B&S is also missing and has been getting posts/answers while I have been watching.

Is this a deliberate policy on behalf of AB?

Big Cheers all round.

It has been fixed.

(but why did it take at least 3 emails to get them to take notice?)
Gen2 - I too had noticed that our questions / answers no longer appear in 'Recent Posts' and had assumed it was deliberate.

At busy times Q & P has tended to monopolise the pod, and, although I have found it useful, when all is said and done our Qs & As are only of interest to ourselves. I imagine the object of the pod is to encourage people to participate in areas outside their normal stamping grounds.

To test your theory about sub-sections, let's put all our crossword queries in Crosswords and see what happens.

You are too late kettledrum, they've fixed it now.
Gen2 - I'm delighted that we're back, but could understand why they wanted to exclude us (if that was what they were doing)

I have had a nice reply from the Techie Team apologising for doubting me in the first place. All fixed now.

I can see that the pod serves two purposes for AB.
1) As kettledrum says, it directs traffic to other parts of the site that may not get visited so frequently.
2) It reduces bandwidth since refreshing the pod is less than constantly refreshing the whole page
