MM Links Game - September - Week 4
56 Answers
Well, Week 4 is here for me, Crown Jools and just one more to go. I can't believe it has gone by so fast. This week, Jim and I are off to the Isle of Wight for a week. Believe it or not, we are revisiting the place where we first met 39 years ago. I was working as a waitress on a Holiday Camp for the summer season and Jim, his younger brother and a friend were sitting by one of my tables. I always remember his first words to me; "Where's the nearest pub?" (What they hadn't realised when booking their holiday was that this particular camp was dry!) After I gave him directions, he said, "Fancy joining us when you finish here?" Not the most romantic of chat-up lines, but that was how it all started!
The Isle of Wight is a lovely island. Lots to do: nice beaches, the cliffs at Alum Bay, the Needles and lots of places to walk. Nothing very dramatic, but nice, gentle scenery. There are plenty of good restaurants, quaint old pubs and I seem to remember a night-club on a boat called 'The Medway Queen' I wonder if it's still there? History is around every corner too, with places like Osborne House (Queen Victoria's country retreat) and Carisbrooke Castle (once the prison of Charles I), so I think there will be plenty to keep us busy and entertained for the week.
So, where are my links going this week?
I think I have given you enough clues, with a generous helping of red herrings!
All will be revealed at 9.00am.

No best answer has yet been selected by JoolsTwo. Once a best answer has been selected, it will be shown here.
For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.As for the everyday running of MM, I have followed the same rules as laid out by crofter on word length. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each link word may go before or behind my chosen word! The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when crofter will declare my selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past.
My fourth set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.
