Of course I cheat! I cheat every time I look in the dictionary or ask Google. I cheat when I read out a clue to a companion in the train. And I assist a cheat when I am able to find an answer to the other chap's clue.

Oh, yes. No use denying it. I'm a terrible cheat. But I don't find time in my life to tell others how they should live theirs.

Well said Aqua. We all learn a lot here and enjoy ourselves. It is an Answerbank, and from what I have read some posters dont like the whole concept of offering assistance.

grasscarp and aquagility - are you saying you think it right to cheat? Schoolchildren are taught not to cheat and yet you would teach them to cheat as much as they want?

Fortunately, the small band of cheats on this site are the ones living on a desert island - most people still have morals enough to know when something is wrong.

Teddysbears - a good enough reason to perhaps rob the person who does the quiz themselves of a win their hard work has merited? Shame on you.

Are you saying that unless you know every answer yourself already you can never enter a crossword, quiz or puzzle? Or are you saying it is ok to google, but not to look at this site? How do you get the information in your brain in the first place? You will never change things here, so why waste time trying to impose your will on people who have a more relaxed attitude to life and enjoy this harmless fun?

Grasscarp, there is a difference between googling for the answer and being given the answer - one you work for, the other you do not.

The essence of the matter here is whether you are seeking to gain an advantage by being given an answer and the majority of the time on this portion of the site that is the case.

Oh I know full well that I and others like Figi will convince very few but when you believe something to be morally wrong, sometimes you just have to make a stand.

As I said before, I find it so sad to envisage a case where a person who has slogged for hours and hours to get 98 out of a 100 on a quiz can lose out on the prize they deserve because somebody else thinks it right to be given a few answers.

Have just read this load of rubbish and the one thing that really sticks out and which is being asked over and over again, but with no answer just a long speech about cheating WHY DO YOU USE THIS SITE ? If you help anyone with answers you are aiding them in cheating, if you ask for answers then you are guilty of cheating so unless you are the secret Answerbank police I would really love to know why you even look at this site.Can you find nothing better to do with your time?
