It is week two already in the reign of King Fordward. Last week he brought a breath of outdoor fresh air and pleased many of you who got (at least partially) on his wavelength. Will the same players be able to tune in again this week? or will he change tack and appeal more to those who previously scored zero?

You know how it is sometimes when you look back through old photo-albums and the images conjure up thoughts and associations. Last week I came across some pictures taken on our honeymoon to snowy Iceland - no digital imaging in those days, just a compact camera to record the sights. I remember visiting the cathedral at Sklholt (the one with the famous mural) where a string quartet were performing a concert of chamber music. In the collection plate at the exit I spotted a strange coin - a copper nickel, presumably deposited by an American tourist. Now - will King Fordward's words conjure up appropriate associations in your mind? Find out tomorrow.

X ray I think your question has well and truly been answered!!!
This is not funny....but it so is and you'll all think I'm a little strange but made me laugh.

My grandaughter is the sweetest thing you have ever met, she goes to a very "posh" nursery, where all the middle class, proper kids go...no nonsense...so tonight, her Mummy was in the kitchen with me and said " Mum, listen how well she knows her alphabet"..So she started with A for apple,great..and B for Balloon, C for Cat, great. D for Dolphin, excellent, E for Elephant and then my Daughter said and F hoping for frog... we got F for F**K! I'm sorry folks but I ran out into the garden and just laughed. What a naughty Nana! I still cant believe she said it
Think my typing took too long x-ray...gen has answered you!!
Mazie, i'm laughing too, my mum used to laugh at my two when they said rude things, when I said them as a child it was a different story, a smacked bum and sent to my room!
Thanks to all for explaining MM.
So pleased that I have met up with you lot, would have been here years ago if I'd had been on the Internet.
Mazie....wonder where she heard that?? Probably at the 'posh' nursery!!!
I remember going to a posh friends house once...(I don't have many!!)
Her daughter spilled blackcurrant on a very posh cream coloured carpet...I said oh dear fetch me a cloth quickly ...and she said..don't worry there's p?ss and all sorts on this!!
I nearly dropped cork legged!! :-))
It was out of the blue Ali...and she never, ever says anything like that and she said it with so much conviction. Her Mum. said thats not nice and you should say sorry. She did but I dont thiink she had a clue what she was saying. You just dont expect it, do you?
x-ray...a big warning...it is very addictive and you will become mad!!....Sarumite's mushroom's will see to that!
LOL pauline another expression I've never heard

I know its not funny, but I'm still smiling...out of the mouths of babes and all that. She had no idea what she was saying
I just hope she doesn't repeat it at school, when she starts in April!
Become mad ? I am mad, have been for years
What...drop cork legged??
Yes..what does that mean?
You mentioned sarumite, where is he tonight ?
Come to that where are the other male linkers, I am surrounded by women - sorry - ladies
...and you are complaining x-ray? :-))
Men, they never know when they are well off :o)
Mazie, i used to belong to a baby sitting circle when the children were young. I baby sat for our local vicar and his wife who had four children. The children were fine but when the vicar and his wife came home she was so sozzled she couldn't hang her coat up so she threw it on the floor and said "S*d that for a game of soldiers" She was the absolute epitome of a vicar's wife, it was so funny!!
LOL, Ali, I always imagined Vicar's wives to be a little bit naughty..dont know why..

I could be a Bishops wife, I've had three glasses tonight!

so time for bed xxxxxxxxxx
I take it you've been at the port Mazie? I'm rather fond of passing the bishop myself!
No, just the red wine...my only tipple <hic>

I've just realised the baby intercom thingy/alarm isn't working tonight so I'm just peeking in to see that you're all tucked up tight and not hiding any illicit licquor under the bedclothes. And no straining your eyes reading by torchlight either.

x-ray, sarumite has caretaking duties to perform (his mother) and will be in once she is tucked in bed.

All this talk of getting tucked up is making me sleepy so I think I will have a whisky, a coffee and an early night for a change - I've important things to do tomorrow.
