Were the clues 'excavate' and 'dressing'?
Question Author
No the first clue was, 'Produce reluctantly when excavating has finished' (3,2) and the second was 'Coating' (8) of which I have e-r--ing
I've got earthing for coating
Dig up?
Your answers seem fine to me from those clues

Produce reluctantly = dig up

An archaeological excavation (dig) that was finished (up) would also be a dig up

Coating would suggest 'Putting on a coat' which would be 'enrobing'

Thank you Dwill, but I think I'll stick with 'enrobing'

Sir Alec - I thought it could have been 'dug up'
Sorry for the half answer. My cat trod on the off switch while I was typing!
