KM links July Week 1 (pp seekeerz)
54 Answers
 Take one new laptop.
Take one new Operating System (Vista)
Take one dial-up ISP (Adam Internet)
Turn the whole lot upside-down and attempt to operate.
Scream (very satisfying but doesn't achieve much)
 Swear (she wouldn't would she?)
Tear out hair by fistful (has she any left?)
That just about sums up seekeerz's predicament down under so this week's launch falls once again upon my shoulders.
New month = new game
New players are always welcome
The game is easy and the rules are simple. The Daily Telegraph publishes a GK crossword on Saturdays with 4 special 'grey' clues. On Mondays, a second GK Crossword is published also with 4 grey clues. The two sets of 4 words can be paired up (Linked) to form compound words or recognised two-word phrases. These crosswords are set by Kate Mepham - hence the title of this game - The KM Links and the game is to try and guess what those link words will be before they are published on Monday morning.
Scoring is simple
1 point for each correctly guessed match
1 bonus point for being the first to suggest any correct link (also awarded to those correctly guessing the same link within 2 minutes of the first person)
2 bonus points in addition for having a clean-sweep of 4 matches
To get the game started, we await an early riser to solve Kate's first four grey clues and post them below. Over to you . . .
