Here we are at Week 3 in August, having already reached the half-way stage of our weekly diversion for the month, and it's Sir Sarumite back again with a brand new set of link words for your deliberation.

As expected, last week's Olympic Games links provided a bonanza in respect of successful "hits", and wickedtongue hit the ground running with three correct predictions, (each one qualifying for a bonus point), and consequently leapt to the head of the league table with a grand total of six points!

Will points be so readily accessible this week? Only time will tell.

On both Wednesday and Thursday afternoons during this week, I enjoyed visiting Salisbury Racecourse, where Im an Annual Member. This is my local course (flat racing only) and I aim to be free to attend most of the meetings during the season. However, as a full-time carer, its necessary for me to arrange cover whilst away from home, and two afternoons out also means that a special effort has to be made to keep things together on other fronts.

At this time of the year the garden needs so much extra attention, with grass to be cut, flowers to be dead headed and weeds to be vanquished! On the plus side theres a glut of fresh vegetables to be enjoyed, with runner beans (my favourite) and tomatoes both plentiful throughout the month of August.

Question Author
According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM Links, I will follow the usual rule on word length as introduced by crofter. Each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!

Each of the selected link words may go in front or behind my challenge word! The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when crofter will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My third set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.

OOhhh...you tease...from horse racing to covers....to vegetables!!! :-((
I will opt for a guess at..caring... nursing...tending to (as with the garden) ....Miles out I suppose!!
