Good morning everybody!
I thought I'd start this week with a couple of snapshots from my past.
I grew up in a small county town. We enjoyed a fairly tranquil existence except for late October/November when the whole town buzzed with the infectious excitement of the Opera Festival. In the early and more casual years, opera singers sometimes stayed in houses rather than hotels, and I can remember sitting at the top of the stairs listening to the sound of Nicolai Monti's voice filling the house as he prepared that amazingly exotic (to us) dish spaghetti alla Bolognese in our kitchen. For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.In those days, in Ireland at any rate, the word "half-term" was unknown. This did have the bonus that three months summer holidays were the norm; more than enough time for me and my younger brothers to go wild, and revert to feral creatures hunting in packs, fishing off the quays, climbing over walls into other people's orchards, and generally "messing". I seem to remember I was the typically bossy, elder sister, trying to persuade the brothers that playing my games my way was the best and only way to go!
Devoted as I am to the "rools", I will follow those introduced by crofter. Each of my chosen link words contains at least four letters and at most eight. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one or more of your attempts! Each of my selected words may go in front of or after my challenge word. The competition will officially close at 7.00pm on Sunday evening when crofter will declare my selected words, then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My second set of words to be linked will appear below at 9.00am.
