MM and KM Links February 2009 [Week 2]

Welcome to the second week of our new setter, Queen Dustybun. The first week followed an accepted pattern of few points scored overall, in spite of most of the links being spotted within reasonable time. I have no doubts that the second week will prove to be better. Surely, there can be no prizes for guessing tomorrow's theme, although quite often it is of little help. Personally, I am more concerned that the launch goes smoothly ~ without upset.

I'm ot doing anything special. My Wednesday group was going to arrange a night out but most members seem to be doing something. I suppose there is still time to be asked to baby sit!!!!!!

Just tuned in - after a meal with friends - and had to voice my admiration for the poem, Pauline. I fear the heartburn might strike me, too, presently, but it was a good evening.

Still can't quite believe it. The cheque arrived today. I think I'm going to be boring and buy some reference books with it. I haven't got an O.D.Q and always feel I can't justify spending out on it. But winnings is a different matter.

My eldest son's present arrived today, too. It's 'more brain training'. He got me the first 'brain training' game for Christmas. Don't know whether to be pleased or worry that he thinks I'm going senile!

Good evening Christiana and congratulations on winning the Terrible Twos. I did better than I had expected to, it was quite a difficult quiz.
Waiting now for crofters and paulines Dragonfly 4 quiz

It sounds more interesting. There's one good thing about the first one though. My youngest, who is really bright and beats me hands down at everything, had a bad day at Christmas, just before he went home and his brain age was recorded at 43. Because he can't do it any more it's stuck there for all the world to see - and I got mine below that the other day!. So there I am recorded as having a younger brain age than my son. Shouldn't gloat, but it does make a nice change. He tends to call me 'dear' and explain things in a slow, careful voice.

Tomorrow night they are getting good old 'basic' grub...like it or not! But they will...it's only an excuse to line our stomachs before we drink and play cards!!!

He is supposed to be going out Sunday afternoon with his daughter and family...but usually when he has had a night here ...nobody sees him for 2 days!!!

Must add, that I meant the More Brain Training and was not casting 'nasturtiums' at Gen 2's quiz. Looking forward to Dragonfly though.

Twix...Dragonfly 4 will be launcehd soon...but both Crofter and I have had other committments, so have had to delay it.
