The scientific name for coconut is Cocos nucifera. Early Spanish explorers called it coco, which means "monkey face" because the three indentations (eyes) on the hairy nut resembles the head and face of a monkey. Nucifera means "nut-bearing."

Found this thanks to your suggestion of 'monkey'! Many thanks!
Excellent. Good Luck!
I've not started the puzzle yet but now at least I've got one answer.

Good luck! I think I've got all the answers now. The only two I'm unsure about are nos. 6 & 7 as I've bascially got the answer 'lilies' to 6 and 'lily' to 7 which seems a bit odd. If you need any other answers I'll keep a look out for your questions!
Calla lily but also in Collins as just Calla, noun so can you add an 's' to pluralise?
Also agree lily for other one.

'Callas (Zantedeschia, Arum Lilies). Ask floral designers and they'll tell you that callas are the most elegant of their flowers. ...'
