Quizible European capitals identification

I found this very hard indeed - not having travelled in Europe - and was only able to identify the following:

1) London (Houses of Parliament)
3) Athens (Parthenon/Acropolis)
4) Rome (Colosseum)
12) Paris (Eiffel Tower)

Can anyone help identify some of the others? As always, there are no prizes involved- all just for fun!

It annoys me no end that I can't think what 2 is!

I also think I ought to know 38, but the pictures for the others are so unclear that I don't recognise any features, although by a process of elimination there can't be many more European capitals left!
